Grow Genius with Mathemagics
The Transformation Programme ‘I Love Mathematics’ has successfully impacted to about 800 underprivileged upper primary Tamil schools students in Pulau Pinang and Selangor with the support of local state government offices. In Pulau Pinang, the programmes were organized jointly with Jawatankuasa Pendidikan Sekolah-sekolah Tamil Pulau Pinang while with local community leaders in Selangor. The programme was conducted from 2011 to 2016 via a series of 2 full day power-packed workshops.

The workshop started with a Diagnostic Test to evaluate the level of the interest, accuracy, speed, memory and problem-solving skills. After that, they were guided on brain functions, especially the abilities and potential hidden in the right – brain. Then they were taught 12 formulas or known as the ‘right – brain engineering formulas’ using calculation and arithmetic assessments, Speed Test, Games, Memory Test, Brain Test and Quiz. The formulas solve Math problems artistically, tapping the power of the right – brain through mental arithmetic abilities and automatically develop the human brain holistically. It was filled and charged with a vibrant joy and fun all the way. Prizes and gifts were given away to the winners as well as the participation certificates to all the kids during the closing ceremony by guests of honor.
The Speed Arithmetic Quiz consists of questions such as 27 x 9, 2301 ÷ 9, 2435 x 11, 100 – 48 , 68 x 99 , Multiplication table solved mentally, without any use of pen and paper creating a sudden confidence while making Maths fun and easy. All the kids including the Math – Phobia participated actively with full energy and confidence in the activities and games during the workshop. About 88% of the students improved their math performances in their school examination by at least 1 grade. Meanwhile, the parents also have shown an interest in the program following up from the performance of the kids at home based on their attendance in the closing program. The parents and the school teachers were taught to practice Genius Mathemagics at home and school to continue to inspire the kids to have joy and fun in learning Mathematics.
