Orphanage Empowerment: I Adore Enjoy Love Maths

Transformation Programme ‘I Love Mathematics’ has been successfully conducted for a total of 19 orphanage students from Albukhary Foundation for a period of 3 months, after school hours. The programme organized by Albukhary Foundation jointly with Albukhary International University in collaboration with Magic Mathematics Organisation saw tremendous positive changes in students throughout the 3 months course. The program converted a tedious subject; Mathematics into a playful and blissful one which the students learn with smiles through a series of amazing Genius Mathemagics formulas. The formulas solve Math problems artistically, tapping the power of the right – brain through mental arithmetic abilities and automatically develop the human brain holistically. These create a sudden confidence and increase of self – esteem of the students towards learning Mathematics.
The programme started with a Diagnostic Test to evaluate the level of the interest, accuracy, speed, memory and problem solving skills. After that, they were guided on brain functions especially the abilities and potential hidden in the right – brain. Then they were taught 6 formulas or known as the ‘right – brain engineering formulas’:- Genius Base 100, Genius Money, Genius Division 11, Genius Bar Numbers and Genius Subtraction. After learning the formulas, the students are assessed through the Speed Test which will consist of the same questions and format as the Diagnostic Test. Before the program, there were only 3 students who loved Maths, but after the program, 11 students started to love Maths. This showed the Genius formula which works unconventionally charged a vibrant joy and fun of learning Mathematics to the student while creating a remarkable improvement. Then the students participated in a Speed Arithmetic Quiz which requires them to solve calculations mentally in a lightning speed.
The Speed Arithmetic Quiz consists of questions such as 98 x 97, 103 x 104, RM100 – RM46.52, solved mentally, without any use of pen and paper created a sudden confidence while making Maths fun and easy. All the students including the Math – Phobia participated actively with full energy and confidence in the activities and games during the workshop. Prizes were given away to all the students during the closing ceremony. From the program,
- 11 students who hate Mathematics has been transformed to Love Mathematics
- 4 New Math Geniuses were created
Results
The range of marks for test as per the table:-

Grade | Interest Level in Mathematics |
A ≥ 75 |
Love Mathematics |
60 ≤ B ≤ 74 | |
45≤ C ≤ 59 |
Like Mathematics |
30 ≤ D ≤ 44 | |
E ≤ 29 | Math – Phobias |
Diagnostic Test 1 consists of 40 questions ranging from complex multiplication e.g. 98 x 95, 103 x 102, money calculations e.g. RM1000 – RM 345.24, complex division e.g. 24346 ÷ 11 to be answered within 10 minutes. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the interest level of students to solve maths problems using the current conventional formulas.
Then, Speed Test 1 consists of the same format as the diagnostic test. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the interest level of students to solve maths problems using the Mathemagics’s Formulas.
The results have been documented into bar charts below for easier understanding.
Day 1(Before program)

Day 1(After program)

On the second day of the program, the students were tested again. Diagnostic Test 2 consists of 40 questions ranging from complex subtraction e.g. 5152 – 2366, 614724 – 335275, to be answered within 20 minutes. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the interest level of students to solve maths problems using the current conventional formulas.
After that, Speed Test 2 consists of the same format as the diagnostic test. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the interest level of students to solve maths problems using the Mathemagics’s Formulas.

Day 2(Before program)

Day 2(After program)

The Outcome

14 students who hate Math has been reduced to 3 after the program.

Before the program, there were 3 Math Genius, but after the program there were 4 New Math Genius students created
Feedback
Students were provided short questionnaires on how they feel towards Mathematics after learning Formula 1 Mathemagics. The response was overwhelmingly positive so we hope to be able to help more children of the same flock in the future.
